Critica is a reference app for reading the Islamic sourcebase critically. Five sections — Qur'an, hadith, sira, fiqh and tafsir — each pairing the source material with annotations that set out what the text says, how it has been read, and where the scholarly disagreements sit.
The Qur'anic text ships inside the app: all 6,236 ayahs in the Uthmani script with English translations, so nothing has to be fetched and nothing about your reading is transmitted.

Is there a subscription?
No. Where an app has a paid tier it is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the app permanently, with Family Sharing enabled.
I paid and the app still shows the paywall.
Open the app's settings and tap Restore Purchases. If that does not unlock it, email support with the Apple ID email you purchased with.
How do I move my data to a new phone?
App data is stored on-device and is included in an encrypted iPhone or iCloud device backup. Restoring that backup onto the new phone brings it across.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by the studio. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and choose the purchase.
