Studio Privacy A&P Mechanic

A&P Mechanic privacy policy

Gauge: A&P Mechanic Prep has no app account, advertising or analytics SDK on iPhone, iPad or Android. Its core content and the data you create stay on the device you use, and the app does not send them to a developer-operated content or analytics server.

What the studio collects

The app sends no profile, app-created content or analytics identifier to Stack Trace Studios LLC. There is no sign-up or developer-operated user database. If you choose to email support, the studio receives the address, message and attachments you send. If you buy an in-app purchase on Android, Google Play gives the studio an order record for it, described under Third parties.

What stays on your device

The app stores everything you create in it, including progress, settings, notes, bookmarks, logs and any content you enter, on the device you use. On iPhone and iPad, the data sits in the app's own container, and an encrypted device or iCloud backup may include it according to your Apple backup settings. On Android, the data sits in the app's private storage, where other apps cannot read it. Android's cloud backup and device-to-device transfer can copy it to a new device, according to your Google backup settings. Deleting the app removes its active local copy. A backup that already holds a copy keeps it until you delete or replace that backup.

Network

The app's core content does not require a developer-operated server. On iPhone and iPad, Apple can process network requests for App Store product information, purchases and restores. On Android, the Google Play Store app on your phone handles purchases and restores. The Android build holds the internet permission for a review-access option in Settings, which Google Play's app reviewers use: if someone enters a review code there, the app sends the code and the app's package name to a Stack Trace Studios server that runs on Cloudflare, gets back a session with an expiry date, and checks that session with the same server each time the app opens until it expires. Cloudflare receives the device's IP address with each of those requests. If you never enter a review code, the app never contacts that server. Google's Play Billing library in the app can also use the permission to contact Google under Google's terms. External support, privacy, refund or source links use the service you choose to open.

Third parties

The app contains no advertising, analytics, attribution or third-party crash-reporting SDK on either platform. On iPhone and iPad, Apple processes App Store product, purchase and restore requests under its own terms. On Android, Google processes them under Google Play's terms. For each Android purchase, Google Play gives the studio an order record with the order number, the item, the price and tax, the date and the buyer's country and, in some countries, the buyer's state and postal code. The studio uses these records for accounting, tax and refunds. A service or external link you choose to open processes that request. The studio does not sell app data or use it for advertising or tracking.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Your active app data is on your device and under your control through the app's own controls or by deleting the app; a backup that holds a copy can retain it. The studio cannot access or export that local data. For information you voluntarily send in a support email, or a Google Play order record from an Android purchase, you may ask what the studio still holds or request deletion, subject to applicable obligations such as tax record keeping.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version is published here with a new date. Material changes that affect what is collected will also be noted in the app's release notes.
