Liminal support
Answers to the questions that come in most often. If yours is not here, email us. The developer who built the app reads every message.
How much is free?
The first ten lessons. One purchase of $9.99 unlocks the remaining 94 and everything else, permanently. An App Store purchase also covers the people in your Family Sharing group. Google Play has no family sharing for a one-time in-app purchase, so a Play purchase unlocks the course for the account that bought it.
Does it need an internet connection?
The course content works offline: every lesson, profile, glossary entry, quiz and thought experiment is bundled in the download. On iPhone and iPad, App Store product loading, buying or restoring the one-time unlock, and the optional rating prompt use Apple's services and need a connection. The Android build holds no internet permission, so the Google Play Store app on your phone carries the purchase, the restore and the rating prompt.
Is this accredited? Do I get credit?
No. It is a self-study course written to the level of a university survey sequence. It carries no accreditation and grants no credit.
Are the quotations real?
Primary sources are quoted directly and attributed to the work they come from. Where a familiar quotation is misattributed or has no source, the lesson says so rather than repeating it.
How do I move my progress to a new phone?
Progress, bookmarks and review history are stored on-device. On iPhone and iPad, an encrypted device or iCloud backup may include them according to your Apple backup settings. On Android, the app's data can reach a new device through Android's cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, according to your Google backup settings. There is no account-based sync, so confirm the backup restored before erasing the old phone. If the new phone still shows the paywall, tap Restore Purchases in the app's settings: on iPhone and iPad that asks the App Store to re-check the unlock, and on Android it asks Google Play.
Reporting a bug
Email OmarAppSupport@gmail.com with your device model, your iOS or Android version, and what you were doing when it happened. Attach a screenshot if you can. The app has no crash-reporting SDK. Apple passes on crash logs from iPhone and iPad users who share diagnostics with developers, and Google Play passes on crash reports from Android users who share usage and diagnostics data. Beyond that, the studio sees nothing you do not send.
Refunds
On iPhone and iPad, Apple processes the purchase and handles any refund: go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, and choose the purchase. The studio cannot issue an App Store refund. On Android, Google Play processes the purchase and handles any refund. Within 48 hours of buying it you can request a refund from Google Play. After that, email the studio with the order number from your Google Play receipt.
Accessibility
On iPhone and iPad, the app supports Dynamic Type, VoiceOver and Reduce Motion. On Android, the app follows the system font size and display size settings, and TalkBack reads its screens. If you cannot read or reach something with assistive technology, report it as a bug. Name the screen and the setting you were using, and the studio will fix it.
