The index draws on published public data, including macroeconomic series and news-event data. A weekly job turns that data into a versioned public feed, which the app reads. A Home Screen widget keeps the current reading in view.

Common questions
Is Fractured: US a prediction?
No. It is an analytical index built from public indicators and an explicitly documented model. The score and illustrative four-year probability are research and awareness tools, not a forecast, warning or advice.
How does the data update?
The app periodically downloads a small, versioned public JSON snapshot generated from the cited sources. It validates the response before adopting it and keeps the last valid or bundled snapshot if a download or validation fails. Check the displayed as-of date before relying on a chart.
