Fractured: US privacy policy
Fractured: US has no account, advertising or tracking. It downloads a public weekly index snapshot and does not upload a user profile or user-created content.
What the studio collects
The app does not send your name, email address, settings, locally recorded tip history or an app-authored analytics identifier to Stack Trace Studios. Fetching the public snapshot exposes ordinary request information, such as IP address and user-agent data, to the hosting provider. If you email support, the studio receives the address, message and attachments you choose to send. Visiting this policy likewise gives the website host the ordinary request data needed to deliver and secure the page.
What stays on your device
The bundled and last validated public snapshots, refresh state, display preferences, widget data and locally recorded tip totals or history are stored on your device. They may be included in a device backup according to the backup settings and service you choose. Deleting the app removes its active local storage, although a separate backup can retain its copy until you delete or replace that backup.
Public feed and system services
The app retrieves the public snapshot from stacktrace-studios.com and falls back to the legacy FracturedUS-Data GitHub Pages copy when the canonical route is unavailable. The request contains no user profile or app-created content. The store service on your device loads and processes optional consumable tips. Source, support, privacy and refund links contact an external service only when you choose to open them.
Third parties
The app embeds no advertising, analytics, attribution or third-party crash-reporting SDK. Cloudflare delivers the canonical website and public feed; GitHub, a Microsoft service, hosts the fallback public feed; and the Apple App Store or Google Play processes optional tips on the corresponding platform. A cited source or email provider processes a link you choose to open. Stack Trace Studios does not sell app data or use it for advertising or tracking.
Children
Fractured: US is not directed to children under 13 and has no developer-operated account or profiling service. Its political-conflict subject matter is intended for a general news and research audience; a parent or guardian should decide whether it is appropriate for a child.
Your rights
You control local preferences and cached app data by deleting the app; a separate device backup can retain its copy. Stack Trace Studios cannot access or export those local values. For a support email or other information you voluntarily send to the studio, you may ask what is still held or request deletion, subject to applicable legal obligations.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version is published here with a new date. Material changes that affect what is collected will also be noted in the app's release notes.
