DishCheck privacy policy
DishCheck keeps diner profiles, recognized menu text and scan results on your device. It has no developer-operated account, analytics, advertising, tracking or menu-analysis server.
What the studio collects
DishCheck does not send menu images, recognized text, diner profiles, restrictions or scan history to Stack Trace Studios. If you choose to email support, the studio receives the email address, message and attachments you send. Visiting this policy also gives the website host the ordinary request data needed to deliver and secure the page.
What stays on your device
DishCheck stores diner names, restriction selections and custom keywords, preferences, disclaimer acknowledgement, remaining free-scan balance, recognized menu text, analysis results and scan history locally on your iPhone or iPad. Selected source images and PDFs are processed through bounded temporary files and are not retained by DishCheck after import. Local app data may be included in an encrypted device or iCloud backup according to your Apple backup settings. Reset All Data removes diners, scans and preferences but preserves the consumed free-trial balance; an App Store purchase remains restorable. Deleting the app removes its active local database, although a separate device backup can retain its backup copy until you delete or replace that backup.
Network and system services
DishCheck itself has no developer-operated analysis endpoint. StoreKit can contact Apple to load product information, purchase, verify or restore Full Unlock. iOS can contact Apple for translation language resources or other system-model resources. A system photo or document picker can ask iCloud or another file provider you select to retrieve a chosen item. Support, privacy, refund and email links open external services only when you choose them. DishCheck does not upload your menu content or dietary profile to Stack Trace Studios.
Third parties
The app embeds no advertising, analytics, attribution or crash-reporting SDK. Apple processes App Store transactions and system-resource requests under its own terms, and a file provider you select controls retrieval of its file. Cloudflare delivers this website, and Google processes email sent to the published support address. Stack Trace Studios does not sell or use app data for advertising or tracking.
Children
DishCheck is not directed to children under 13. It does not create accounts or collect app data through a developer-operated service. A parent or guardian should supervise any child's use, particularly because DishCheck cannot certify food safety.
Your rights
You control the DishCheck data stored on your device through the app's history, diner and Reset All Data controls, or by deleting the app. Stack Trace Studios cannot access or export that local data. For a support email or other information you voluntarily send to the studio, you may ask what is still held or request deletion, subject to applicable legal obligations. Requests can be sent to the contact address below.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version is published here with a new date. Material changes that affect what is collected will also be noted in the app's release notes.
